Vincent Michel's story begins in a small Fribourg village on the shores of Lake Neuchâtel. At the age of 12, he discovered the jeweler's trade during an internship, a passion that would never leave him. In the family home's garage, the young man set up his first workshop using small savings and second-hand tools. Vincent Michel then began to make his first pieces of jewelry for his friends and neighbors. With a mother passionate about painting and a cabinetmaker grandfather, Vincent has always been immersed in a strong artistic universe and quickly learned to handle tools. His father, a teacher, taught him patience, a paramount virtue for the jeweler's trade.
Vincent Michel began his career as an independent jeweler in Lausanne in 2009, right after obtaining his federal jewelry diploma and winning the Swiss jewelry championships at the same time.
He then rented a workbench in a workshop he shared with two other colleagues. Very quickly, orders multiplied and clients became numerous.
Thus, in 2016, he opened his boutique right next to Lausanne Cathedral. This marked a new turning point in Vincent Michel's life, and just four years later, the team would move to Rue de Bourg, to a larger retail space, open to an authentic workshop. More than just a large-scale project, it was a new challenge for the young jeweler.
